Established in 2006, Fifield Polo Academy has gone from strength to strength teaching at all levels, all year round.

Headed up by Ryan Pemble, polo playing and polo riding lessons are available on site year round. This means you can learn to play in our arena during the winter, ready to start chukkas the following summer.

After you have had your first lesson we will be able to help understand how polo works and what it can offer you. We pride ourselves on ensuring that our academy members learn to manage their horses as well as learning the rules of the game.

Safety is paramount at Fifield Polo Club and we will always make sure there is an expert on hand to suit your needs.

We have a selection of 50 ponies, with 30 in work at any one time, available for lessons and patron rentals. Our ponies are handpicked by Julia Luke and matched to each player in line with their skills and physical requirements.

Individual Lessons

We can provide beginners and players one-to-one private lessons with one of our qualified and experienced polo instructors in our arena or outside on the fields during summer, depending on ability. These lessons ensure that the instructor is completely focused on the individuals needs throughout the hour, and can be extremely useful to beginners picking up the sport, as well as established players wanting to improve on a certain aspect of their riding.

Group Lessons

A group lesson offers friends or others of a similar level to be taught together. Not only does this work out cheaper per person, it is useful in order to teach players the tactics involved in playing polo effectively. Our experienced instructors can teach groups of 2-8 people in any one session, and will cover a selection of topics depending on the group’s abilities and preferences.

“We hired out the club for a day as part of a team building exercise and our 3 year anniversary celebration, it was a fantastic day and everyone had an amazing time. Top drawer facilities and the friendly atmosphere on our arrival was second to none.”
